Serving New Orleans, Metairie, Slidell, Mandeville, & Surrounding Areas
Beginning with a Blueprint
At Guillot Building, when we build a custom home or an addition to an existing house, we work with plans that have been drawn up by a professional. If you already have plans in place when you come to us, that’s great. And if you don’t know where to begin, we’re here for you, too.
We’re not draftsmen or architects at Guillot Building, but we’ve been in this business and a long time and have built decades-long relationships with quite a few professionals in the industry. We know our colleagues, trust them, and work well with them. So we can refer you to a variety people who have the talents to put your vision to paper. From there, Guillot Building will transform those paper plans into the home or addition that you’ve been dreaming of.
Part of the Process
If you do choose to work with one of our colleagues or even if you choose another architect or draftsman on your own, we like to be part of the process. Owner Walter Guillot, Jr., will sit in on the meetings. Our aim is to listen. We want to hear what you have to say about your new living space. Tell us your ideas. Visual aids help, so bring us any pictures you have clipped from magazines or downloaded from the Internet. Show us your own sketches and images, and tell us about the design ideas you’ve seen elsewhere. We like to be involved in the entire process. That way we can stay on the same page during construction and ensure that your home or addition will turn out exactly how you want it.
